the aston spiraling technique™
The Aston Spiraling Technique™ – AST – was created by Judith Aston, pioneer in the movement and bodywork field since 1976. It is a painless, hands-on approach that respects and matches the layer, tempo, shape and grain of the fascial tissue. It teaches the practitioner to work with ease from the surface layers through the deeper layers to include the bone. Combined with an accurate whole body assessment, attention is placed on keeping the whole body in balance as localized tension is released. AST increases the effectiveness of all manual therapies and decreases the amount of stress and effort on the practitioner.
