Courtney Pennacchio
At 17, I suffered from debilitating shin splints that lasted over 5 years. I exhausted many forms of therapy without relief. After my introduction to Aston-Patterning®, I could finally walk with very minimal pain. This not only saved my life as a teenager, it reshaped how I looked at life.
This experience lead me to a Bachelor’s degree in Health Ecology and a Master’s Degree in Kinesiology at the University of Nevada, Reno. As an athlete, I know how disheartening it can be when you cannot perform your best. Aston-Patterning® has helped me to regain my confidence and strength after 4 knee surgeries due to sport-related injuries.
I enjoy solving problems and figuring out how things work which is why I tend to have many hobbies. I like to create and invent new ways of doing things that strengthen my abilities to become flexible and creative during my sessions with clients. I look forward to helping you to find ways to move with comfort and ease.
Allison Sagewind
Allison has a natural gift of teaching - it runs in her family. She enjoys teaching the vast variety of movement and massage practitioners: LMTs, PTs and OTs, Yoga, Pilates, BallRoom instructors and Martial Arts and more… Along with appreciating ALL the excellent skills that are taught in the Aston Kinetics classes, she revels in the heartening result that each student from different disciplines have gained a common language with which to speak with each other. She believes bridging communication across the movement and massage disciplines is so important in this fast-growing culture of health.
With her clients, Allison feels a profound joy when she observes the restoration of the client’s hope of healing. The facilitation of hope for optimal healing comes from deep within and greatly supports their evolution of being on this earth… in body-mind and spirit. It’s a privilege to provide this for another human being.
~ Many Blessing ~
Allison's personal movement background was in gymnastics and dance.
She has been a health professional since 1986 (36 years) and began her career as a Lic. Physical Therapist Asst. where she blended the following integrative therapies into her medical foundation: Myofascial Release, Craniosacral, Orthobionomy, Zero Balancing, Feldenkrais and more which earned her a professional title of “Myofascial Specialist” in 1991.
In 1993, she found and resonated with Aston Kinetics as the assessment skills, movement concepts and the hands-on fascial integration techniques greatly enhanced all the prior bodywork and movement disciplines she used while working in the physical therapy clinics.
She was hooked, learned more about Aston Kinetics and began her own practice…
Her 30 years of Aston Kinetics trainings have been directly under Judith Aston. Since 2000, she has been an instructor to health professionals in the massage, movement and medical fields nationwide making her a Senior Aston Faculty Member of the Aston Kinetics organization...again, such a privilege.
